AUTO CAD TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW

The AutoCAD technician will be responsible for developing electrical permits and construction
drawings. In addition, this position will assist with coordinating permitting, submittals, close-out
documentation and other activities associated with commercial electrical projects.

​

The AutoCAD technician position has the potential to grow into a Project Manager position within the company with ongoing training available. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Generate electrical drawings for permitting and construction using information generated
  by the project manager, including project scope, sketches, and other relevant information

• Coordinate with an electrical engineer to generate final permit drawings and documents

• Manage the permitting process with corresponding agencies from submission to final
  approval

• Assist project managers with submittal development and approval

• Assist project managers with all close-out documentation for projects

Necessary Skills and Expertise

​

• College or Technical School level certification in AutoCAD

• 2 years of professional experience in electrical design and AutoCAD generation

• Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment; and must have a
  comfort for change

• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
