About the Role
The AutoCAD technician will be responsible for developing electrical permits and construction
drawings. In addition, this position will assist with coordinating permitting, submittals, close-out
documentation and other activities associated with commercial electrical projects.
The AutoCAD technician position has the potential to grow into a Project Manager position within the company with ongoing training available. Responsibilities
Generate electrical drawings for permitting and construction using information generatedby the project manager, including project scope, sketches, and other relevant information
Coordinate with an electrical engineer to generate final permit drawings and documents
Manage the permitting process with corresponding agencies from submission to finalapproval
Assist project managers with submittal development and approval
Assist project managers with all close-out documentation for projects
Requirements
College or Technical School level certification in AutoCAD
2 years of professional experience in electrical design and AutoCAD generation
Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment; and must have acomfort for change
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
