About the Role
The AutoCAD technician will be responsible for developing electrical permits and construction
drawings. In addition, this position will assist with coordinating permitting, submittals, close-out
documentation and other activities associated with commercial electrical projects.
The AutoCAD technician position has the potential to grow into a Project Manager position within the company with ongoing training available. Responsibilities

Oversee the onsite activities and ensure that projects are within the specified budget, on schedule, and adhere to the drawings and specifications.

Manage and coordinate the overall schedule, weekly look ahead, and day to day schedules of the field staff and subcontractors.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.

Communicate with both management and the client to ensure that project goals, cost, schedule, and quality are achieved

Maintain good subcontractor relationships. Coordinate with their schedules, manage their questions, and limit change orders.

Oversee all project punch list generation and completion

As needed, self-perform elements of a project to keep it on schedule or under budget
Requirements
College or Technical School level certification in AutoCAD
2 years of professional experience in electrical design and AutoCAD generation
Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment; and must have acomfort for change
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
